JESSICA HISCHE: A FRIEND OF TYPE
Jessica Hische is a typographic artist and letter illustrator. Her shop Tittle Case is in San Francisco where she works and conducts workshops. With her partner Erick Marinovich, a custom studio was created that best suited each others creative process and increased their professional outputs. She discussed her creative process which involves consistent rendering of "many iterations first" and analyzing of details. She stressed "learning to look" and the importance of consistent growth from going over the details. It gave me a new perspective on lettering vs. ornament and I look forward on exploring more this in the future. Overall, I found her work and dedication to her craft inspiring and enlightening, gaining a new respect for her profession.
